From the Organizer
Join us for the Salt and Sound 10k, 5k and 1-mile Fun-Run, at the Currituck County Rural Center on Saturday, September 19th. Experience the area's waterfowl, wetland and the neighboring horses.
This unique race will bring you along water thoroughfares, on boardwalks and straightaways to the edge of the Currituck Sound.
The courses are scenic but not the fastest because you will be on multiple surfaces.
Each event will be well marked with chip timing, water stations and the parks permanent restrooms. Best of all, the rear race marshals will be on horseback! They are there to help you hoof it!
Welcome runners and walkers! We recommend that strollers and dogs (leash required) start at the back. If you don't have a dog and want to walk one, let us know as we have a limited number of friendly dogs onsite from the local animal shelter!
Stay after the race for pancake breakfast. Thank you to our key sponsors Pro1 Pest Control and Towne Bank for making this event possible and your continued support!
