From the Organizer
After Work Dirt is a small, community-focused trail race series designed to get people off the pavement and on to the incredible trail networks right here in our backyard. Born out of the evolution of the Tiny Trails Series, this is a laid-back, weeknight opportunity to explore local terrain, meet good people, and enjoy a little friendly competition. Each race partners with local land trusts—the folks who care for and protect these spaces—helping connect runners not just to the trails, but to the communities behind them.
Races are intentionally small, capped at 75 runners, creating a welcoming and low-key atmosphere. Each course is unique, ranging from ~5K to 6.5 miles, and all are located within 20 minutes of Portland. Come straight from work, run hard (or not), and stick around after for a casual hang—think light beverages, good conversation, and a chance to unwind midweek. Whether you want to jump into a single race or commit to the full series, you’re welcome here. Registration will be available online and in person on race day, with a discounted rate for runners who sign up in advance for the full series.
While individual races will not feature traditional podium awards, each event will include raffles. At the end of the series, we’ll celebrate those who completed the full lineup with overall awards.
