Back again for 2026, the Paint the Downtown FunRun is one of the few 5k's (if not the only one) in the whole county.
This race is organized by the Broadway Brew Coffeehouse just like last year. It features the same 5k route, so if you enjoyed last years event be sure to come back!
This race is about cultivating a love for running and benefiting the community. Paint the Downtown is a fun and exciting event that makes our downtown better through raising money for improvements (such as paint!).
This year's event features two new options:
A 1 mile run/walk option - if you aren't keen on running 5km you can take advantage of a shorter route and still be a part of the event! Invite your friends and bring the whole family.
A Virtual race option - If you can't make the race or aren't interested in running but still want a shirt, try out the new virtual option. You can always submit your 5k time from wherever you ran!
Every participant that signs up before September 26th for either the 5k, 1 mile, or virtual option will get the 2026 Paint the Downtown t-shirt. You won't be guaranteed a shirt if you sign up after that date but you can definitely still run in the race.
The 5k starts at 8:00 A.M. and the 1 mile immediately after at the Broadway Brew, 108 E 7th St., Plainview, TX.
Packet pickup is at the Brew from 5-7 P.M. on October 2nd, the evening before the race.
