From the Organizer
Set to take place on May 31, 2026 at 8am, the inaugural 21.5K is a half marathon(+) (13.3 miles) event that celebrates the culture and history of Philly.
Meant to complement the Broad Street Run, held on the first Sunday of May each year, the 21.5K takes place on the final Sunday of May, offering participants a final opportunity to take on a longer distance through the city before the summer heat sets in.
The race begins and finishes in North Philly, creating a route that connects neighborhoods, landmarks, and communities across Philly before returning to where it all started.
Participation is limited to 215 runners and (at least) 35 volunteers, for a goal of 250 total participants — celebrating both Philly (215) and America’s 250th anniversary.
Please note: The INAGURAL 21.5K will take place on an open streets course. Pace groups will help keep the community together, but participants are expected to follow all traffic laws and signals at all times, remain aware of their surroundings, and run safely and responsibly throughout the community.
