Welcome to Team Marathon Kids!
We are so excited that you have chosen to run your 2027 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend while supporting Marathon Kids. With your help, we can continue to help a program that encourages active kids and helps develop the next generation of runners.. Thank you for choosing to support our mission!
Please review our runner policies below. By proceeding with registration, you agree to abide by the fundraising requirements.
Fundraising Requirements
In addition to the initial registration fee to reserve your bib with Team Marathon Kids, the following fundraising minimums apply:
Team Marathon Kids Fundraising & Participation Policy
By registering to run with Team Marathon Kids, participants agree to the following fundraising and participation policies:
Fundraising Deadline
All fundraising commitments must be completed by December 31, 2026. Any remaining balance not fundraised by this date will be charged to the credit card on file.
Team Marathon Kids will send multiple reminders leading up to the deadline to help runners stay on track with their fundraising goals.
Registration Fees
All registration fees are non-refundable, including if a participant chooses to withdraw from the race before race day.
Transfers & Deferrals
Withdrawal Policy
Before August 31, 2026
Participants may withdraw from the race without any additional fees. However, registration fees are non-refundable.
After August 31, 2026
If a participant withdraws from the race, they are responsible for covering the $200 Team Marathon Kids program activation fee, either through fundraising or it will be charged to the card on file.
After October 1, 2026
If a participant withdraws from the race, they remain responsible for the full fundraising commitment amount.

The half marathon is the distance where you find out what you're actually made of. Long enough to demand real preparation. Short enough that it doesn't consume your life to train for it. Most people who run their first half describe it as the race that changed their relationship with what they're capable of. Once you cross this finish line, the bar moves. That's not a warning — that's the point.
Race day energy varies by event size, but the finish line feeling is the same regardless. Big races keep the noise going the whole way. Smaller races give you stretches where it's just you and the miles — and that solitude becomes its own kind of fuel.
The half marathon rewards people who show up for the boring training miles.
How long to train: 10–14 weeks. If you're already running consistently, 10 weeks of structured buildup is enough. If you're building from a casual base, give yourself 14.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
