We are so excited that you have chosen to run your 2027 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend while supporting A Running Passion. With your help, we can continue to help students run, jump, throw, and vault into their fullest potential. Thank you for choosing to support our mission!
Please review our runner policies, below. By proceeding with registration, you agree to abide by the fundraising requirements.
Fundraising Requirements
In addition to the initial registration fee of $75 to reserve your bib with A Running Passion, the following fundraising minimums apply:
WALT DISNEY WORLD® 5K $500
WALT DISNEY WORLD® 10K $600
WALT DISNEY WORLD® Half Marathon $800
WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon $900
WALT DISNEY WORLD® Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge (Half Marathon and Marathon) $1000
WALT DISNEY WORLD® Dopey Challenge (5K,10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon) $1250
Your registration with A Running Passion includes:

Review Important Fundraising Dates
10% due 7 days after initial registration
25% due 30 days after initial registration
50% due 90 days after (registrants joining late will be granted flexibility)
75% due 150, 2025 (registrants joining late May will be granted flexibility)
100% due 30 days prior to race
Refund Policy:
We want to be flexible and realize that life changes and injuries happen, especially when you have to register so far in advance. However, we are a small non-profit entity, and we depend on your registration to fund our mission. Your initial registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any fundraising that you complete is non-refundable.
Deferral Policy:
Deferrals are allowed from the date of registration through October 1st. Once a deferral is requested, your decision is final. The deferral is good for one event year only. Any fundraising that you have completed will be deferred also, with the exception of the initial non-deferrable registration fee. It is the runner’s responsibility to request a bib the following year once registration is open.
Event Transfer Policy:
If you are registered for an event during Marathon Weekend and want to change to a different event during Marathon Weekend, it is possible under the following conditions:
1) It is prior to October 1st.
2) You have not completed the runDisney® registration yet.
3) We have an available bib for the event you are interested in.
4) We have no runners on the waitlist for the event you are interested in.
5) If you are moving to a shorter distance; we will not refund any fundraising.
Bib Transfer Policy:
We only allow bib transfers under the following conditions:
It is requested prior to October 1.
You have not completed your runDisney® registration.
We have no runners on the waitlist for the event in question.
Any fundraising that you have completed will not be refunded, but can be transferred to the new participant.

About This Sport
Endurance Grid is here to help you understand the sport, decide if it's the right fit, and learn how to prepare. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer's event page.
The half marathon is the distance where you find out what you're actually made of. Long enough to demand real preparation. Short enough that it doesn't consume your life to train for it. Most people who run their first half describe it as the race that changed their relationship with what they're capable of. Once you cross this finish line, the bar moves. That's not a warning — that's the point.
Race day energy varies by event size, but the finish line feeling is the same regardless. Big races keep the noise going the whole way. Smaller races give you stretches where it's just you and the miles — and that solitude becomes its own kind of fuel.
The half marathon rewards people who show up for the boring training miles.
How long to train: 10–14 weeks. If you're already running consistently, 10 weeks of structured buildup is enough. If you're building from a casual base, give yourself 14.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
