Best Friends Walk Together

Would you walk 2 miles to save a shelter pet?

If so, join us for Best Friends Walk Together.

Walk with or without your bestie and enjoy a morning walk through the historic Town of Onancock. 

The route begins at the Historic Onancock School, takes you past scenic views of Onancock Creek, historic homes and quaint town businesses and finishes back at the school where light refreshments will be served.  Walk is approximately 2 miles.

When you return you can choose to do the nature trail behind the school that takes you along side the creek and marshes where native fowl can be seen.  Trail is approximately 1/4 mile.

• Walk begins at 9:30 am.
• Packet pick up / Check in 9:00 am - 9:30 am at the venue on the day of the event.
• Event day registration available 9:00 am - 9:30 am at the venue.
• Parking:  On-site and street parking available.
• Leashed dogs welcome.
• Baby joggers/strollers welcome.
• Kids under 5 free.
• Participation medal included.
• This is not a timed event.  

All net proceeds to benefit the animal welfare orgs who serve the Eastern Shore of Virginia. 

Since our inception in 2012, we have raised over $108,000 for our local rescues and shelters.
