From the Organizer
Take Steps Together with us on Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 9:00 am for the third annual Steps ROCK ‘n’ ROLL STROLL to support families caring for infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.
New this year — BABY STEPS 1/2 Mile Route!
We’re excited to introduce the free Baby Steps 1/2 mile route, perfect for our youngest participants and their families. Strollers, tiny sneakers, and wobbly walkers of all ages are all welcome! Baby Steps participants have the option to purchase an event t-shirt for $10. See the Baby Steps route map here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6712831237/
You are invited to bring the whole family to join the fun and dress up as your favorite rock star! We want to see it all: leather, lace, bandanas, giggles, smiles, tutus, crowns, big hair, glitter, and cheers! We encourage strolling, walking, running, skipping, hopping, and especially dancing your way across the finish line.
Our day begins at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island. The 5K course follows the sparkling waterfront out to Catalina Park at the Marina and back to Windjammer Park.
Free parking is available at Windjammer Park.
Check in at the registration tables to pick up your race bib and t-shirt.
All pre-registered 5K participants will receive a free t-shirt. We cannot guarantee t-shirt sizes for registrations after August 21st, 2026.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure everyone in your group is checked in.
After checking in, enjoy kids’ activities, face painting, photo backdrops, and more.
This is the perfect time for Rock Star photos! Strollers, tricycles, sea turtles, and fur babies are permitted on the course. Please act responsibly and clean up after your pets.
This is a non-competitive event, with everyone moving at their own pace and all finishers celebrated equally.
At the end of the 5K, enjoy snacks and refreshments. Families are invited to make their way to SE Pioneer Way to continue the fun at the Oak Harbor Music Festival.
Youth - Half price for your 5-11 year old!

Help us roll out the love! Please bring new or opened packs of diapers (size 1-5) or wipes to share with our Steps families. Let’s show our little rock stars some big support!
All ROCK ‘n’ ROLL STROLL proceeds benefit Steps, a non-profit organization providing in-home early support services for infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with developmental delays in communication, social-emotional, fine or gross motor, adaptive skills, and/or cognitive development. Our early learning and pediatric care team offers therapies, education, and family-centered support that helps children build the skills they need to thrive—at home, in school, and in the broader community. We are continuously taking steps to expand our resources to meet the needs of the children and families we serve on Whidbey Island, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands.
