Last year, you laced up your running shoes and did an amazing job. This year, get ready to grind and join us for the “Second Annual “25 JAM”5K RUN/ WALK or 1 MILE WALK. This exciting event honors the incredible life of
JESSE ALLEN MOSS JR
Join us for a filled day of positive energy, community spirit, and a heartfelt tribute. Whether you are a seasoned runner, casual walker, looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle. This event is for YOU! We invite you to join as we take a nostalgic journey down memory lane with pictures of the historic Cascade Park along the route. The images will not only highlight the park’s historical significance but also honor the cherished memories and impact of Jesse Allen Moss Jr.
There will be awards and cash prizes. The overall best time for the runner will receive $125.00 cash and the overall best time for the top walker will receive $50.00 cash.
Be sure to register by May 1, 2026 to take advantage of the discount. The registration fee is $15.00. The fee will increase to $25.00 on May 2, 2026. Children ages 5 and under are free.
“Rain or Shine”
The event starts at 9:00AM. Please arrive by 8:00AM to check in, receive your t-shirt and stretch before the run/walk. Please continue to check the page for updates.
All proceeds will go towards New Castle Area student Athletes in the form of “The Little Brother Scholarship” and “25 JAM”.
Jesse would give the coat off his back to help a student athlete. He would make sure that every student athlete had the essential resources needed to compete at the best of their ability and thrive as a student.
25JAM is a non for-profit dedicated to fostering the personal and professional development of student athletes by providing a comprehensive mentorship in financial literacy. 25JAM empowers students from middle school throughout high school with essential life skills including emotional intelligence, money management, budgeting, college readiness and entrepreneurial skills.
