This amazing half marathon is a South Carolina Dream! It is truly a flat and fast course! We offer 2 race experiences along with a virtual option! Half marathon participants must adhere to a 3:20:00 time limit. Participants falling behind the time limit will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not receive a finish time.
Animals and strollers are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification.
Service animals as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a service animal must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.
Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Wheelchairs, mobility aids, etc. as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a recognized device must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.
The Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon™ boasts over 5.5 miles of oceanfront running. Both races will begin along 8th Ave N and finish with an ocean view on the MB Boardwalk! We are excited to partner with Grand Strand Brewing Company for our post race celebration again this year!

1st Place Male & Female: $700 each
2nd Place Male & Female: $500 each
3rd Place Male & Female: $400 each
4th Place Male & Female: $300 each
5th Place Male & Female: $200 each
Overall Masters Male & Female $100 each
Overall Grand Masters Male & Female $100 each
Fastest Local Runners Male & Female (must be resident of Horry/Georgetown county): $100 each *double dipping allowed!

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male/female finishers, overall masters male/female, and overall grand masters male/female finishers. Age group awards given to the top 3 within each age group.

The half marathon is the distance where you find out what you're actually made of. Long enough to demand real preparation. Short enough that it doesn't consume your life to train for it. Most people who run their first half describe it as the race that changed their relationship with what they're capable of. Once you cross this finish line, the bar moves. That's not a warning — that's the point.
Race day energy varies by event size, but the finish line feeling is the same regardless. Big races keep the noise going the whole way. Smaller races give you stretches where it's just you and the miles — and that solitude becomes its own kind of fuel.
The half marathon rewards people who show up for the boring training miles.
How long to train: 10–14 weeks. If you're already running consistently, 10 weeks of structured buildup is enough. If you're building from a casual base, give yourself 14.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
