From the Organizer
The MYA Summer Program is the heart of our mission and is designed as a health and wellness summer program with track & field at its core. This year, we are excited to host the program at the University of Memphis. The program aims to impact 300 boys and girls in grades 3rd–8th by developing stronger physical abilities, building athletic confidence, and fostering a love for fitness and wellness. This is achieved through a blend of informal play, technical instruction, and fun! Our goal is for each child to leave with a renewed sense of confidence, healthier habits, and a lasting appreciation for the sport of track & field.
In addition to learning the fundamentals of track & field, student-athletes will participate in a well-rounded learning experience that incorporates math, reading, nutrition, and character development. The MYA City Summer Program is supported by community partners such as the University of Memphis and Memphis Parks, along with corporate partners who play an instrumental role in developing the whole child.
