From the Organizer
Test your speed against Marquette County's Finest (and beyond)! This 5K will start on the bike path at the corner of East Baraga and South Lakeshore Drive in Marquette and head towards Harvey on the bike path, with the turn around just after the Carp River. Awards will be given to the top runner in each age group, overall male and female, top first responder, fastest first responder team (team must consist of at least 5 teammates), and agency with the most participants. The purpose of this team is to bring first responders and the community together to support mental health and healing for first responders. Proceeds will benefit the Central U.P. Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM)/Peer Support Team. The Central U.P. Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team is a community of peers working to assist First Responders with Critical Stress Management in Michigan's Upper Peninsula following response to traumatic or impactful events and daily calls. We proudly serve and support First Responders in Marquette and Alger county and so many more. This mental health fund can assist any first responder in the Upper Peninsula.
