Very flat, fast, and fun! The course is measured and certified. All 5K/10K racers will receive a free t-shirt. All those who registered before February 1st will be guaranteed their shirt size. All 5K & 10K participants receive free entrance to the Chili Roundup following the 10k & 5k!
Chili Roundup comes with unlimited chili tastings and 2 free beverages (must be 21+ for the alcoholic beverages).
Prize money for both the 5K & 10K is as follows: Overall Male and Female Places 1 ($200), 2 ($175) and 3 ($150). Masters Males and Females Places 1 ($150), 2 ($125) and 3 ($100). GrandMasters Males and Females Places 1 ($100), 2 ($75) and 3 ($50).
Runners can register on the day of the race using RunSignUp but will still need to check in at the Registration tent to get their bib. Sponsored Runners will need to register on RunSignUp using their specific sponsor vouchers but will still need to check in to get their bib.
Early race checkin will be held on Friday during the Food Truck Extravaganza.
Check-in day of will begin at 7:30.
These races are part of the Rumba on the Lumber Festival 2026 with live music, arts and crafts, chili, food, and more!
Please note: This race is rain or shine. Due to safety and insurance concerns, pets are not allowed on the race course.

The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.
This is also the distance that builds the base for everything else. Most athletes who go on to run half marathons, do triathlons, or compete in HYROX started here. What you need: running shoes fitted to your stride, a training plan, and the race on your calendar. The registration is what makes the deadline real.
How long to train: 4–8 weeks for most fitness levels.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
