From the Organizer
Join us for the Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K, a meaningful race that brings together runners, walkers, law enforcement officers, and community members in support of an incredible cause. This annual event serves as a powerful kickoff to the Special Olympics Kentucky Summer Games and celebrates the strength, determination, and spirit of over 11,000 athletes across the state.
Participants of all fitness levels are invited to run or walk this 5K course while standing alongside the dedicated law enforcement community that proudly supports Special Olympics athletes year-round. The Torch Run represents more than just a race—it’s a symbol of unity, inclusion, and the “Flame of Hope” carried into the opening ceremonies of the Summer Games.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Special Olympics Kentucky, helping provide year-round sports training, competition, and life-changing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through your participation, you are helping athletes build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of competition and community.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply showing up to support a great cause, the Law Enforcement Torch Run 5K is your chance to make every mile matter. Lace up, get involved, and help us carry the flame forward.
Not able to make it to this year's Law Enforcement Torch Run? You can still donate to show your support for Special Olympics Kentucky!
