From the Organizer
The 13th Annual AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot began as a way to collect food and donations for our local food bank, Community Food Share, while bringing our community together on Thanksgiving morning.
As the event grew, the Turkey Trot became a public benefit corporation, allowing us to operate with the purpose of creating social good and supporting our community in a responsible, sustainable way.
Date: November 26, 2026
Race Start: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Front Street & Spruce Street (951 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO 80027)
Yes—you must register! Your entry fee and food donations directly support Community Food Share, whose mission is to eliminate hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
Although the event began as a free run, we introduced an entry fee to make a larger impact. If you plan to trot, please register to support the cause.
To keep the event accessible, our entry fees are significantly lower than most races, with early pricing nearly 50% off race-day registration. Help your friends and family save by encouraging them to sign up early!
We keep costs low by skipping bibs, shirts, and chip timing—so more of your entry fee goes directly to Community Food Share. Thanks to our partners, all participants enjoy complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and beverages (21+ with ID).
This event is all about community, connection, and giving back.
Back this year! In addition to supporting Community Food Share, your registration now helps local schools through our brand-new Louisville Turkey Trot School Grant Program.
Beginning in 2025, we will award $500 grants to the Elementary, Middle, and High School with the most registered participants. Students, families, teachers, staff, alumni, and supporters all count toward a school’s total—just enter your school at registration to make sure your participation is included. Rally your community and help your school make a strong showing.
Run, walk, or trot for your school—while supporting families in need this Thanksgiving.
Start: Front Street & Pine Street
Finish: South Street & Front Street

After you finish, join us for music and free refreshments, including:
(21+ beverages require ID and race entry.) A huge thank-you to our partners for making this celebration possible!
There is no packet pick-up. This is a non-competitive fun run benefiting Community Food Share—no bibs, no chip timing, no stress. A finish-line clock provides an unofficial overall time.
Strollers are welcome! Children in strollers do not need to be registered.
We love pups, but due to insurance restrictions, dogs are not permitted at the event or on the course. Thanks for keeping our trot safe and compliant.
Registration remains open throughout the weekend. If you don’t register beforehand, QR codes will be available onsite. Every entry helps feed families in need.
Please use the designated parking lots shown on the map, with additional street parking available throughout Downtown Louisville. (See parking map below.)
