Celebrate Memorial Day with a splash at the Freedom Splash 5K! This isn’t your ordinary race—participants will run, jog, or walk through a course featuring water blasts, sprinklers, and other refreshing surprises along the way to keep you cool and smiling.
Perfect for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, the Freedom Splash 5K combines fitness, fun, and a festive Memorial Day atmosphere. The race will start and finish on the track at Lawrence County High School in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
The 5k will be professionally RFID timed by Race Ready Events.
Whether you’re racing for time or just looking for a wet-and-fun way to celebrate the holiday, the Freedom Splash 5K is the perfect way to honor the day, stay active, and have a blast with family and friends.

Pre-filled water balloons will be available for sale. Have fun as a spectator and toss some water balloons at your favorite, or least favorite, runners as they pass by.
Race Day Schedule
Packet Pick-up and In-person Registration: 7:30-8:45 AM
5K Race Start: 9:00 AM
Fun Run Start: ~10:00 AM (or after 5k finishes)
Awards: ~10:30 AM (or after fun run finishes)
Where is the race? Lawrence County High School Track. The race will start and finish on the track around the football field.
When is the event? Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026 - 9:00 am start time
What time should I arrive? Please plan to arrive prior to 8:15 AM to leave yourself adequate time to check in, receive your runner packet, and get warmed up.
Can I register on race day? Yes -- we will allow race day registrations up until 15 minutes before race start, but please arrive early as there will be a line and we may have to shut-off registrations at 8:45 AM to support our planned start time.
Are t-shirts included with registration? Yes, if you register by the t-shirt deadline of May 10th you will receive your t-shirt on race day when you check-in.
Are there medals or awards? Yes! Overall and age group winners in the 5k will get an award. Finishers of the 1 mile will receive a finishers ribbon.
Are strollers allowed? Yes, strollers are welcome
Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on course?
We’re sorry, but only runners, joggers, walkers, baby strollers/joggers, restrained pets and wheelchairs are allowed
Are pets allowed? Yes! Well-socialized and leashed dogs are welcome
Is the race timed? Yes, this event is professionally RFID chip timed by Race Ready Events
How long is a 5K course? A 5k course is 3.1 miles
Do I have to be an experienced runner? No — all ages and paces are welcome!
I’d like to participate. Can I just walk? Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk, so you will not be alone!
