From the Organizer
Get ready to beat the heat with the coolest race in South Florida! Join us on July 26, 2026, at the beautiful John Prince Park in West Palm Beach for the annual Ice Cream 10K & 5K. Whether you are looking to set a new personal best on our fast, scenic course or just want to enjoy a morning stroll with friends and family, we have the perfect distance for you. This event is all about community, fitness, and, of course, a sweet reward at the end of the road.
The celebration begins the moment you cross the finish line, where every participant will be treated to their favorite ice cream flavor. It’s the ultimate incentive to keep those legs moving! But the fun doesn't stop with the dessert; the finish line area will be buzzing with energy thanks to our live music and dancing. It’s more than just a race—it’s a summer party designed to bring a smile to every runner and walker's face.
For those with a competitive streak, we have plenty of hardware up for grabs. We are proud to provide awards to the top 3 overall finishers as well as the top 3 in each age group for both the 10K and 5K distances. Whether you’re sprinting for the podium or dancing your way through the course, this is one July morning you won’t want to miss. Grab your sneakers, bring your appetite, and let's make a splash at John Prince Park!

About This Sport
Endurance Grid is here to help you understand the sport, decide if it's the right fit, and learn how to prepare. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer's event page.
The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.
This is also the distance that builds the base for everything else. Most athletes who go on to run half marathons, do triathlons, or compete in HYROX started here. What you need: running shoes fitted to your stride, a training plan, and the race on your calendar. The registration is what makes the deadline real.
How long to train: 4–8 weeks for most fitness levels.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
