Last Splash of Summer is a family event! We have events for adults and kids. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 500-yard races for adults and kids, registration fee $35.00
  • Want to wear fins? You can in the 500-yard or 1-mile events designated FIN
  • Lake temperatures are expected to be in the mid 60's
  • This year's giveaway is a large swim buoy

Regular Registration Saturday, May 16gh - Thursday, September 17th $75.00
Day of Race Registration, Saturday, September 19th $85.00
500 Yard Swim Friday, May 1st - September 17th $35.00

PARENTAL GUARDIAN: Those 18 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian and approval of parent or guardian supplied with entry. 

RULES: Last Splash of Summer is not a USMS sanctioned event. We will follow the open water rules of USMS. The use of neoprene wetsuits and other nonporous attire is allowed in the wetsuit events. Fins are allowed in the 500-yard FIN and 1 mile FIN events. Fins must be no longer than 12" and no mono fins allowed. Pull buoys, snorkels, mp3 players are examples of items that are not allowed. 

10 and unders MUST swim the 500 yards

10 - 12 year olds that want to swim the mile need to submit the name of their coach and swim club as well as submit records (proof) they have swum a 500 in a USA swim meet in a time of 7:30 or faster including the name of the meet and date. AGE GROUPS:  12 & under, 13-14, 15 & Over, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, etc.)
Ages determined by date of birth as of December 31st.
 
TIMELINE:
  • 7:30 AM     Registration Check-In 
  • 8:30 AM     Mandatory Safety Meeting
  • 9:00 AM     Event Start: 2 Mile
  • 9:10 AM     Event Start: 1 Mile
  • 9:20 AM     Event Start: 1 Mile FIN
  • Event Start: 500 Yards - usually when the course is cleared
 
RACE INSURANCE: Race / Event insurance is available for purchase during registration from REGShield. If you are interested, please read the information provided to understand what is covered and what is not covered. Any claims should be directed to REGShield. Blue Wave Aquatics is not affiliated with REGShield. 

MERCHANDISE: Fleece Pullover Hoodies are available for purchase during registration. X-SM, SM, MD, LG, X-LG $50.00, 2-XL, 3-XL $55.00 PLEASE NOTE: We will be closing the sweatshirt order on Sunday, August 30th. 

REFUNDS: Open water registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
