From the Organizer
We are thrilled for the return of the Groundhog Run this winter! Please join us February 7, 2027, for the 45th annual Groundhog Run, benefiting children with disabilities receiving services at Ability KC. This unique event gives athletes of all abilities the opportunity to participate in the 5K, 10K, and Tunnel-to-Tunnel (5K + 10k) experiences. With a consistent temperature of 65 to 68 degrees and paved underground streets, Hunt Midwest’s SubTropolis, is a USATF Certified 5K and 10K course, and the ideal venue for runners from all over the country to compete in the winter without battling the elements.
Register, Volunteer, Sponsor! Join us and thousands of individuals who have become part of Ability KC’s mission in building brighter futures for children with disabilities or who have experienced critical illnesses and injuries. No matter how you choose to support the Groundhog Run, this year will be packed with excitement and celebration.
For questions on sponsorship, please contact Gemma Zook at gemma.zook@abilitykc.org.
