From the Organizer
Join us for Stop 3 of the Solidarity Sidekick Run for ALS on August 31, 2026 at 9:00 AM as we continue our journey down historic Route 66 in Joliet. We’ll meet at the Old Joliet Prison, head down Route 66, and return for a 6.6K in celebration of the Route 66 Centennial.
After the run, enjoy a relaxed cool‑down and refreshments with fellow participants and supporters. Every participant receives a swag bag, finisher medal, and access to our post‑race celebration.
This series supports Enric Casacuberta as he runs the entire Illinois stretch of Route 66 to raise awareness for ALS. We’re hosting small solidarity runs alongside his journey — community by community, mile by mile.
Complete the first nine events and earn a special commemorative medal. Complete all 18 stops and you’ll receive three medals and three specialized shirts created exclusively for the full‑series finishers.
Come run, walk, cheer, and help us raise money for ALS as we move with purpose down the Mother Road.
