UV Mushroom Hunt with Drew Palmer of Mountaineer Mushroom Hunting
Step into the heart of the forest after dark and experience the trails in a whole new light—literally! Join expert forager Drew Palmer of Mountaineer Mushroom Hunting for a unique UV Mushroom Hunt and night hike like no other.
We’ll begin our walk in the daylight, as Drew teaches us how to identify wild mushrooms and safely forage in our local forests. As dusk settles in, we’ll head deeper into the woods equipped with UV flashlights, uncovering a hidden world of glowing fungi and bioluminescent organisms that remain invisible during the day.
From the subtle shimmer of fluorescent mushrooms to the surreal glow of lichen and other forest dwellers, the night will come alive with wild, natural wonder.
Whether you're an experienced mycophile or simply curious about the magic of the forest after dark, this is an adventure for all ages and experience levels.
