The Houston Heights Fun Run
This year marks the 41st Annual Houston Heights Fun Run hosted by the Houston Heights Association. The Houston Heights Fun Run will be held on Saturday October 10, 2026! The event started in 1985 and despite everything, has not missed a year! The 10K and 5K races are both USATF Certified and the codes are TX17062LAB and TX17061LAB, respectively.
In-Person & Virtual 5K,10K and Kids 1K Race

Event Information:
Get out to enjoy the fall weather in our wonderful neighborhood and support the Houston Heights Association favorite outdoor event!
The IN-PERSON option will be done the day of the event. This will be done ON race day on the Boulevard with the option of a 10K Run, 5K Walk or Run, or a Kids 1K.
The VIRTUAL option can be done from time of registration up until race day on any trail that you choose! Virtual participants are able to submit their race from time of their registration of event until race day and can be submitted in portions.

5:30AM - Last minute packet pick-up @ Marmion
6:45AM - Pre-Race Stretching begins @ Starting Line hosted by a Special Guest!
7:00AM - 10K Run begins @ Starting Line
7:15AM - 5K Run begins @ Starting Line
7:20AM - 5K Walk begins @ Starting Line
8:00AM - Kids 1K begins @ Starting Line
8:00AM - After Party starts @ Marmion Park
8:30AM - Awards
Race Day Groups (5K/10K Run):
5K/10K Competitive runs will start at the same time. There will be signs at the START for Groups based on estimated Mile Pace (Example:
Group 1: Sub 7:00 min/mile, Group 2: 7:00-8:30 min/ mile, etc. )
Please look for signage. This will be done based on honor system so please choose to your best knowledge to keep everyone around you safe.
Course Information:
For the In-Person Option, Heights Boulevard will be closed to passing traffic with patrolling deputies from Precinct 1 Constables Office.
10K Route: Starts at Marmion Park (18th Street) and will loop at 18th Street to complete the 5K Route TWICE ending at Marmion Park.
5K Route: Starts at Marmion Park (18th Street), continues & turns around at 5th Street, and Stops at Marmion Park.
1K Route: Starts at Marmion Park (18th Street), continues & turns around at 15th Street, and Stops at Marmion Park.
Packet Pick Up Information:
Pick-Up Date #1 - Sunday, October 4th - 8AM - 4PM - Historic Houston Heights Fire Station, 107 W. 12th Street, Houston, TX 77008
Awards:
Awards will be handed out at the After-Party at Marmion Park starting at 8:30AM. Awards will be given to Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female Finishers of each age group in the 5K Run and in the 10K Run. Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Kids 1K finishers will also receive an award (no age groups for Kids 1K).

Shirt Deadline Information:
The shirt guarantee is Friday, September 25. Registrations placed after this date are not guaranteed a shirt. Due to limited inventory and production timelines, shirts will be available only while supplies last — you may not receive one. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
After Party Information:
Post-Race, we will have an After-Party at Marmion Park with local community vendors/sponsors- more details to come!
Proceeds benefit HHA community projects. The HHA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and proceeds from the Houston Heights Fun Run go directly into the community for beautification, restoration, maintenance and education. For more information visit www.houstonheights.org
