Get ready for the Tantalus 10-Mile Challenge, taking place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the beautiful city of Honolulu! This exhilarating race features a scenic one-loop course that starts at 6:30 a.m. on Makiki Heights Drive, near Halau Kumana School. Participants will embark on a thrilling uphill journey along Makiki Heights Drive, transitioning to Tantalus Drive and climbing for about five miles before enjoying a downhill stretch on Round Top Drive. Runners will then make their way back, finishing strong with a final uphill push on Makiki Heights Drive.
For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, an optional early start at 6:00 a.m. is available for walkers and runners planning to finish in over 2.5 hours. Just remember to check in with the timer by 5:45 a.m. and bring a flashlight or headlamp to navigate the early morning darkness. Note that early start participants will not be eligible for overall or age group awards.
