In partnership between Lenoir Rhyne University and Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism, we are excited to announce the Hickory Summer Track Series! The series will be held on Thursdays in June at the LRU outdoor track. Participants will earn points throughout the series while competing in various events. To be eligible for Age Group and Series Awards, you must compete in at least 2 out of the 4 dates offered.
Online registration will close at 11am the day of each event. On site registration will be available from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm. Prices increase by $5.
Events throughout the series will include: 1 mile, 100M, 400M, 4X100M, 800M, 200 M, 2 Miles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, High Jump & Pole Vault & Discus.
Age groups will be:
5 & Under
6-10
11-14
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60+
Training opportunities are available for anyone ages 6-18 and will be held at Hickory High School, led by Coach Jimmy Fuller. For more information, please click below:
