From the Organizer
The 16 hour RRRC is an adventure race on a private ranch in Haskell, TX. Disciplines include paddling, trail running, trekking, mt biking and possible team challenges. The RRRC requires navigation skills and the ability to plot UTM coordinates. The private ranch is a harsh West Texas setting making the course challenging for the best adventure racer but the race is set up to be beginner friendly. You make the course as hard and long as you want to. Race all 16 hours and go for all check points or race for 10 hours and get as many as you can. You are ranked on number of CP's and time. The race site is primitive. There is no running water or electricity. Primitive camping is provided at no cost. A pre race meal and post race meal are served. Race start is 4 am. The 8 Hour RRRC is set up to be a great race for a beginner/new team to try and will be a challenge for experienced teams. The race will be designed with topo and navigation guard rails in place and the ability to learn and test your pace count and navigation skills.
