From the Organizer
The Historic Marbold Farmstead Association (HMFA) in Greenview, IL is excited to host its 3rd annual Tour de Heartland bike ride fundraiser—a celebration of fitness, fun, and community spirit in support of one of Menard County’s most treasured historic sites.
This year, riders can choose from three scenic routes, all starting and ending at the Historic Marbold Farmstead. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist seeking a challenge or a casual rider looking for a beautiful day in the countryside, there’s a route designed for every level.
HMFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the Marbold Farmstead, a once‑thriving agricultural estate that remains a vital piece of our region’s living history. Through tours, events, and educational programs, the Farmstead continues to unite the community and share the story of its rich heritage.
We invite families, friends, cycling enthusiasts, and supporters of local history to strap on a helmet, enjoy the beauty of the Heartland, and help sustain the preservation of this extraordinary landmark.
Participants can choose between three scenic routes:
All routes begin and end at the Historic Marbold Farmstead, which offers convenient on‑site restroom facilities. Water stations will be available along the courses to keep riders refreshed throughout their ride.
Your participation helps us bring this historic farmstead back to life as a thriving community hub and educational site, ensuring it continues to enrich our heritage and create shared memories for generations to come.
