From the Organizer
This is a 5K fund raiser for Grand Valley Oncology. This year we are raising money for our Gas & Lodging program. The program offers travel assistance and lodging for out of town patients seeking oncology care.
The 5K course is composed of 3 and half loops around the perimeter of the Community Hospital and includes a mix of road, sidewalk and gravel path. Participants will run through showers of food grade colored powder for the ultimate color experience!
We want to make this event fun for all ages and accessible to all ability groups. Participants have the option to signup for the timed 5K or the Fun Run/Walk . Both options are the same course. Timed 5K participants receive a timing chip on their bib and will be lined up in the first wave of the race. Fun Run participants will not receive a bib and can take the course at their own pace and have fun along the way.
We chose the theme of Life in Color because cancer comes in all different "colors" and we want to fund raise and support cancer patients in living their fullest lives. Colorful costumes encouraged!
What to Wear/Expect:
White Clothes: Essential for making the colors pop.
Protection: Sunglasses and bandanas are often used to protect eyes and mouth from the powder.
Cleanup: The powder generally washes out, but it is advised to wear clothing you don't mind getting stained.
Packet Pickup / Race Day:
Packet Pickup will be in Grand Valley Oncology downstairs lobby on Friday 6/5/26 between 4pm-6pm.
Late Registration and on the day of the race is $45 and will start at 7:15am on 6/6/26.
