In-Person Race: Sunday, May 31, 2026 – Glastonbury Hubbard Green (8:30 a.m.)
The Glastonbury Education Foundation 5K Run/Walk (or “GEF5K”) is a rebranding of the Bill Landers Building Bridges Memorial Hybrid 5K Run/Walk (or "BL5K"), which the Foundation has sponsored in Glastonbury, Connecticut, since 2008.
The 18th annual event will only feature an in-person race . The in-person race will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at the Hubbard Green in Glastonbury. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m., and travel along the former BL5K route, with bib chip timing. The race is sanctioned, and serves as a qualifier for the Manchester Road Race. Parking for the race will be available at Glastonbury High School, 330 Hubbard Street in Glastonbury.
The GEF5K is sponsored by the Glastonbury Education Foundation, and enhances the Foundation's ability to fund programs, projects and initiatives that elevate the educational experience of Glastonbury residents. Proceeds from the GEF5K will be used to award scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to a graduating senior of Glastonbury High School who attends a public or private four-year university in Connecticut.
