Northeast Ohio Race for Global Water

Join Ohio American water Works Association (OAWWA) to raise funds for Water for People, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation. This year’s 5K will be October 4th at Rocky River Reservation.

1.8 billion people around the world don’t have access to safe water and 2.4 billion lack access to adequate sanitation. Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day, and more than 840,000 people die each year from water-related diseases.

The Ohio American Water Works Association is teamed up with Water For People, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation, to host the 5th annual Northeast Ohio Race For Global Water 5K.

All net proceeds from this fundraiser support water access and sustainability for individuals around the world.
