From the Organizer
Please don't sign up to be a running buddy if you are running with a specific school! Running Buddies are randomly assigned to schools who need extra support.
A Running Buddy is an adult woman (18+) who registers for and runs the 5K alongside a girl from the Girls on the Run program, offering support and encouragement throughout the event. Running Buddies help their assigned participant (or two) maintain a positive attitude and celebrate their achievement. They are positive role models who prioritize the girls' experience over their own race time and are background checked to ensure the safety of all participants.
