From the Organizer
In January of 2026, the running community in Dalton, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina lost a vibrant person with a passion for running, Lance Sotelo. He was tragically hit and killed while on a run. His family has decided to continue his legacy of perserverance, acceptance, and love through a non-profit called Lance's Legacy. At Lance's Legacy, we want to offer scholarships to high school and collegiate runners who exhibit the same perserverance, acceptance, and love exhibited by Lance. We will be hosting the first annual Lance's Legacy 5K and Fun Run on Lance's birthday. Join us in honoring his legacy and raising funds to support athletes and offer scholarships.
