Monday, June 1         6:00 – 8:15 p.m.

Tuesday, June 2         6:00 – 8:15 p.m.

Thursday, June 4     6:00 – 8:15 p.m.

Friday, June 5           5:30 – 8:30 p.m. (Track and Field Meet)

*Medals for Top 3 in each event, each age group, both genders

Cullman High School Track & Field athletes will be assisting our Camp Staff to go alongside the athletes to direct, demonstrate, teach, encourage, and help them enjoy camp.

Training Groups for Camp

There are three groups (Cheetahs, Falcons, and Eagles). Each athlete has a camp shirt that identifies their group. These shirts look great and will help us keep the athletes organized throughout camp. The additional registration cost as compared to last year will be well worth it. They will love the shirts. 

Cheetahs (4 - 7 years old)

Eagles (8 - 11 years old)

Falcons (12 - 17 years old)

Age Divisions

4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18&Up

These are the age divisions that are used for competition and awarding medals. 

Girls and boys are awarded medals separately. Top 3 medals for each event, each age division and gender.

Beginning of Camp Each Day

Day 1 Warm-Up Routine Together

Learn about the importance of coming to the track with a good attitude every day

Day 2 Warm-Up Routine Together

Learning about the impact of our internal conversations

Day 3 Warm-Up Routine Together

Learning about the importance of vision, daily habits, and consistency, aligning with being Vision-Oriented / Process-Oriented

 

Day 1: Monday, June 1

Three Stations

A Sprinting                                         

B Horizontal Jumps                         

C Discus Throw / Distance              

Each group will rotate through all three stations on Day 1 and Day 2.

 

Day 2: Tuesday, June 2

A Hurdles

B Pole Vault / Shot Put

C High Jump / Mid-Distance / Javelin Throw

After Day 2, athletes will sign up for their events for Friday’s track and field meet.

 

Day 3: Thursday, June 4

A Mid-Distance /Sprinting

B Long Jump / Triple Jump

C High Jump / Pole Vault

D Hurdles / Javelin Throw

E Shot Put/ Discus Throw

On Day 3, the athletes will have the opportunity to hone in on the events that they will be competing in during the track and field meet in order to receive specific instruction and preparation for the competition. 

 

Day 4: Friday, June 5

Athletes will compete in the events they signed up for after Day 2.

Coaches will help them choose the appropriate events for the track and field meet.

We will be competing against Arab's Summer Track and Field team. 

 

 

Camp Registration Cost:

Cost: $100 per child. $175 maximum  for a family

The cost of camp includes the athlete's camp t-shirt.
