This event honors the memory of Helene Cody, who passed away from a brain aneurysm on her 16th birthday in 2008. Helene had planned to revive the Cranbury Day 5K that had been previously discontinued as a way to combine her love of distance running and community service. Her classmate hosted the first Helene Cody Cranbury 5K after her passing in 2008, and ever since, the Helene Cody Foundation has used the race to bring the community together and fund youth service projects and scholarships.
T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by August 6th! T-shirts will be given to registrants while supplies last for those who register after August 6th.
Packet pickup nights are held on Wednesday, September 9th at Fleet Feet Princeton from 4-7 PM and Thursday, September 10th at the Cranbury branch of Princeton Soup and Sandwich Company from 4-6 PM. Those who have preregistered may pick up their T-shirt and race bib at this event to avoid the lines on race day.
Race day packet pickup is from 7:30-8:00 AM for the 1 Mile, and from 7:30-8:30 AM for the 5K at Heritage Park.
All proceeds go to the Helene Cody Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity with the mission of inspiring youth to volunteer, to better their communities and themselves. Your donations will support youth-led projects benefiting Central NJ.
