The Cheyenne Mountain Run features three scenic trail races inside Cheyenne Mountain State Park:

25K Mountain Challenge – for advanced trail runners
10K Trail Race – for experienced runners
5K Run/Walk – a friendly, accessible option for all levels, including beginners
Each race uses color‑coded bibs

Start Details
Location: Limekiln Trailhead
Start Time: 7:00 AM (staggered start)
25K first, 10K next, 5K last
Fastest runners will start first with their race distance and walkers last.
All races are chip timed.
Poles: Not allowed.

25K Course Overview
Start Elevation: 6,000 ft
Max Elevation: ~9,450 ft
Total Elevation Gain/Loss: ~3,450 ft
Course: Talon → North Talon → Dixon Trail → Mountain Loop (clockwise) → return via Dixon → North Talon → Talon.  25 K Map

Cutoff Times
Dixon Saddle (mile ~5.8): 8:45 AM cutoffLocated 2.5 miles up the Dixon Trail
Runners arriving after 8:45 AM will be turned around
Top of Dixon Aid Station & Split Timing: closes at 10:00 AM
Finish Line Timing: closes at 12:00 PM

This race is a fundraiser for The Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park A 501 (c) 3 charitable nonprofit) and is made to celebrate and fundraise for the park we know and love.
