In partnership, The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and the Colorado Springs Sports Corp want to bring you the Rocky Mountain 5K presented by School District 11, the official 5K of the Rocky Mountain State Games! The Rocky Mountain 5K will be giving back to families through the YMCA’s life changing programs and supporting CSSC’s Rocky Mountain State Games initiatives to provide sport opportunities for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities.

LOCATION: This is an out and back mostly flat 5K run/walk that will start at America the Beautiful Park and then heads north on the Pikes Peak Greenway trail for 1.55 miles until the turn-around.

  • Each participant will receive a swag item!
  • The top three male and female competitors in each division will bring home the gold, silver, or bronze medals.
  • Award Ceremony will be held near the DJ in Vendor Village with top 3 overall starting at 10:00 a.m. and then Division winners starting shortly after.
  • Kids 12 and under can participate in the FREE Sasquatch Shuffle 1K at 7:30 a.m. and receive a finisher ribbon.
  • Dogs welcome! Furry Friends receive a dog bandana.

Sasquatch Shuffle 1K for 12 and under: FREE

Furry Friends*: $15 (Look for the Furry Friend "add on" during registration)

Furry Friends are welcome to run alongside their registered human in the 5K with the Furry Friend add-on. All furry participants must be leashed, current on vaccinations, and well-behaved. Human companions are responsible for cleaning up after their furry friends. Be sure to select the Furry Friend add-on during registration.

Free Parking: There is limited free parking across from the north end of the park off Cimino Dr. Additional Parking off S. Sierra Madre St. You can use the Olympic Museum Bridge to access the park. Accessible parking spaces will be available along Cimino Dr.

Packet Pick Up:

  • Friday, August 28, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at The Downtown YMCA, 207 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903
  • Race Morning Packet Pick Up will be held next to start line from 6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
  • Bring your QR code from registration confirmation for faster pick up

Refund Policy:

All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations, postponements, or interruptions caused by weather, natural events, acts of God, or any circumstances beyond the control of Colorado Springs Sports Corporation (“Sports Corp”).

Sports Corp reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to offer credits or ticket transfers in special cases — however, these are not guaranteed and are determined case by case.

If you believe a refund is warranted and falls outside the stated policy above, your request must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the event date. Refund requests received more than 14 days after the event will not be considered.

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept these terms as part of your agreement to attend the event.
