From the Organizer
Join us in the heart of downtown Cleveland on July 4, 2026 to celebrate America's 250th anniversary at the Run for Freedom 5k! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting, this 5k is designed for all runners and walkers.
All in person participants will receive a race T-shirt (be sure to sign up by the shirt deadline to guarantee a shirt on race day), race bib, course support, and post race refreshments. Virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt (make sure to include an email upon registration so a mailing address can be obtained).
T-shirt guarantee deadline: June 10, 2026. After this date t-shirts will not be guaranteed and will be available as supply lasts.
Online Registration will be open through July 4 at 7:30 a.m. We highly encourage you to register on your mobile device or computer before coming to the race site. This will allow for shorter faster check-in lines race morning. All registration is online. No walk up cash registration will be available.
Course
The race will start and end in Freedom Park. The scenic, double loop 5K course is run through a quiet residential area.

Awards
Awards will be given to first and second place for both male and female runners in the following categories:
Overall and Masters (50+) as well as the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
*Please note that awards will not be mailed. If you need to leave before the ceremony, please pick up your award at the awards table.
