Welcome to the official Cedartown Wheelchair Athlete Training Camp and C5K race registration site. This year, we are thrilled to host the 23rd Annual C5K, and we are excited to welcome athletes from around the world to Cedartown. Our partnership with the Shepherd Center and Atlanta Track Club Peachtree 10K is a true honor. We stand united to support the sport of wheelchair racing in Georgia not only for our local communities but also for athletes from around the world.
EVENT CALENDAR:

C5K Race Date: Thursday, July 2nd at 7:00 pm
C5K Race Location: 607 N College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125 (Peeks Park)
Departure Date: Friday, July 3rd
ACCOMODATIONS:
The 2026 host hotel will be the Days Inn Cedartown, the same accommodation we used in 2025. The newly renovated Days Inn is conveniently located only a few hundred yards from the C5k racecourse and training runs. There are several restaurants, a grocery store and a bank walking distance from the Days Inn Hotel.

Book your own accommodation:
- You must book your own room by emailing or calling the hotel.
- The cost per person for each one sharing a double room, is approximately $40/night. The total for a room per night is approximately $80 (including taxes).
- To save money book your room with a friend – plan with a friend prior to booking your room and specify your plans in the booking.
- If you wish to book a private room, the rate is approximately $80/night.

TRANSPORTATION:
Email Chris Holcomb at cedartown5Ktransportation@gmail.com to communicate your arrival times and follow his instructions for pick up logistics at the Atlanta airport. Please book your flight to arrive and depart during decent times in the day time hours. If you arrive late at night or very early morning hours you may have to wait on our transport or we will provide a contact number for you to arrange your own transport. Keep in mind that Cedartown is 75miles from the airport/ 1.5 h drive.

- Your race registration for the Cedartown5k race. (athletes)
- Transport from Atlanta airport to host hotel in Cedartown (see dates below)
- Transport to Peachtree 10K host hotel in Atlanta (morning of July 3rd)

- Track meet at Darlington School – informal fun evening meet (pending enough interest)
- Race T-shirt

- RACE TALK Session – discussions on race etiquette, strategy and race calendar
- Automatic registration for the Triple Crown Series prize purse [Must have registered separately in a minimum of three (3) events]

C5K RACE INFORMATION: (a.k.a "Cedartown 5K")
The 5K race course will remain the same as in previous years - the C5K delivers the fastest 5K times in the world. The course is technical with some climbs and downhills on smooth roads.
DIVISIONS:
TWO START TIMES:
Race 1 -- OPEN MEN; MASTERS MEN; AND GRANDMASTERS MEN
Race 2 -- OPEN WOMEN; T52 QUAD DIVISION MEN; WOMENS MASTERS
PRIZE MONEY $$$ and a custom trophy are awarded to the top 3 in all divisions, additional divisions may be added as long as a minimum of 3 competitors race in your division.
TRACK MEET ON DARLINGTON CAMPUS:
For those of you who did the track meet last year in 2024 & 2025, you will remember it was fun and fast!! The track meet will be informal and based on a rolling start timetable, starting later in the evening June 30th. Please pick your top three (3) preferred events in the registration process. We will select events depending on the popularity and hope to run a 'Last Man Out' fun race at the close of the evening.
ATHLETE MENTOR CLINIC: *Presented by Krige Schabort & Miguel Vergara
This session will talk about race etiquette, tactical strategies to be confident and race savvy at all distances. Group discussion to compile a race calendar for all, bring contact information you have of events so we can build a comprehensive race calendar for all. This is a great opportunity not only for young athletes and newcomers but also for seasoned athletes as well. Leave the session with knowledge learning from other athletes and our clinic hosts!!
Triple Crown Series
The 2026 Rolling Thunder Triple Crown Series (TCS) will consist of four (4) events; athletes must race in three of the four events to qualify for points.
