5K Run and Kid's Fun Run/Walk-Sponsored by the Campbell Culture Coalition
Staged at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, TN
Proceeds from the event will support the Campbell Culture Coalition ArtReach program in local elementary schools and the costs for artists who perform at the annual Louie Bluie Festival held at Cove Lake State Park in September. Click here for information about the festival.
Packet Pick-Up: Day or Race packet pick-up begins at the race venue at 7:00 am. The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a bib, safety pins, and t-shirt. Participants are guaranteed a shirt if registration was before March 15th. Participants who register on or after March 15th are not guaranteed to receive the shirt size that they request.
Awards: Top 3 Overall M/F; Top Masters M/F; Top Grandmaster M/F; Age Groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+; Largest Team. Awards must be claimed at the event-they will not be mailed.
Additionally, the Friends of Cove Lake have established a Campbell County Race Series. The Louie Bluie Rabbit Run is the first in the series for this year. There are seven races total in the series. Course Description: Out and Back along the beautiful scenic paved trail at Cove Lake State Park.
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided post-race.
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the 5K or 1 Mile course. Walkers are welcome! The 5K course closes in 1 hour, 15 minutes.
