Saturday Sizzler : Cross Country Season Opener

Presented by Carrollton Kiwanis in Memory of Bob “Woody” Reeves
In partnership with the University of West Georgia Athletics and Cross Country team

Join us for a high-energy kickoff to the middle school and high school cross country season on a premier Division 1 course! The Saturday Sizzler is designed to challenge athletes, engage families, and give back to the Cross Country and local community.
Racing for a Cause
This event is a proud collaboration with the Carrollton Kiwanis. In honor of the legacy of Bob "Woody" Reeves, race proceeds are distributed to support our local youth:
For Families: $10 of every Community 3K registration made by a family member goes directly to their athlete’s school to help cover team dues.
For the Community: Remaining additional funds are donated to Carrollton Kiwanis Charities, funding vital programs and initiatives throughout our local community.
Schools and Independent School Athletes wishing to compete in the cross country event will register through MileSplit.
Community Open 3K
~ Early bird registration - $25
Register before August 1st. (Registered families of a school runner will have $10 to go to school dues!)
~ Standard - $35
Register after August 1st. (Registered families of a school runner will have $10 to go to school dues!)
Spectators (12+) - $5
All spectator fees go to Kiwanis Community Charities. Athletes, Coaches included in team rates and registered participants of the Community Open 3K are not charged the entry fee but must check-in for entry. Spectator fees are taken at the gate of University of West Georgia Cross Country Course the morning of the event.
The "Beat Your Kid" Challenge
Parents & Coaches: If you run the Community Open 3K and your chip time is faster than your student-athlete’s time from earlier in the morning, you’ll win an exclusive Sizzler Speedster prize!

6:45 - 7:20 AM: Check-in & Warm-ups for teams, Check-in remains open for Community Open 3K until 8:10 AM
7:45 AM: Middle School Girls 3K (Top 10 Medals)
8:00 AM: Middle School Boys 3K (Top 10 Medals)
8:15 AM: High School 2 Mile (Top 10 Medals)
8:30 AM: The Saturday Sizzler Community Open 3K (Competitive Open Race)
9:15 AM: Awards Ceremony
Top 3 Overall Male/Female (Community Open)
