45th Annual Walter Hunt 4th of July 3K Road Race.
Maine's Fastest Road Race! Come be part of this fast, exciting race just before the 4th of July Brewer-Bangor parade!
Saturday, July 4, 2026. Race begins @ 9:45 a.m.
Course Description: One word...Fast! The race route runs along the 4th of July parade route, 15 minutes before the 4th of July parade. Want that experience of people cheering for you in a race? This is the race for you. Sign up and let the parade crowd "push" you to the finish!
Online Registration is open through June 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Race registration is free for Sub5 track club members with current membership standing. Members must register membership in advance and use Runsignup login to receive online discount.
Bib pick-up for all pre-registered runners and race-day registration will be at Brewer Auditorium from 8:00 to 9:05 a.m. BIB PICK-UP AND REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 9:05 a.m.! Race day registration will be $25. Team registration pricing on race day is $75. Race-day registration is cash or check only.
Water and post-race snacks will be available at the race finish.
AGAIN THIS YEAR! Our race participant item is being upgraded from cotton to a tech shirt. Because this comes with an additional cost and other increased costs we've decided to make it an add-on. This means, you can register for the race for the same low price (free for Sub5 members) but if you want the shirt it is an additional $12. Details are in the registration.
