From the Organizer
May’s $5 5K is set for Thursday, May 28 at 6 pm! This month’s beneficiary is the Mississippi Chapter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is a voluntary health organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide including those who have experienced a loss. You can find out more about this national organization and the work they’re doing in Mississippi at afsp.org/about-afsp.
SO, grab $5 and your friends and come walk or run a no pressure 5K (3.1 miles)! ALL PROCEEDS will go straight to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Mississippi Chapter! If you don’t want to do the whole 5K, you can turn around and head back at any point. You can even just come for support and don’t have to walk a step!
As always, walk up registration will also be available at the event!
