From the Organizer
Run the River: Colorado is a high-visibility endurance and storytelling campaign designed to make the value of the Colorado River impossible to ignore - and to turn that visibility into collaborative action.
At the heart of the campaign, ultra runner and water advocate Mina Guli (Thirst Foundation, a 501(c)(3) will run ~2,000 miles the length of the Colorado River, from the Rockies to Mexico (where the river once reached the sea), finishing with a final leg to Los Angeles.
Along the route we are hosting community runs, beginning in Boulder, to bring together people, brands and local leaders who care about the future of the river.
This 5k is a celebration of Mina's run where the event will happen when she arrives in Boulder as part of her run. This is open to everyone including people walking. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.
