From the Organizer
One of Oregon’s favorite trail full marathon and half marathon races returns for the 22nd year on Saturday, August 8th, 2026.
No pavement here. Featuring a full all-trail marathon, a half marathon, and a 6.5-mile course (dubbed the “Half As”), the Haulin’ Aspen features beautiful trails that wind through the Deschutes National Forest, showcasing some epic views. With varying terrain and elevation, the cool wooded pine setting provides a challenging and exciting experience. Enjoy the beautiful single track, steep trails, fast descents, and amazing views starting at an elevation of nearly 5500'. Make it a destination this summer – Bend and the Cascades welcome you!
NEW THIS YEAR:
The Haulin' Aspen full marathon introduces a three-person relay option, giving teams the chance to experience the full 26.2 mile all-trail course together. The race begins and Wanoga Sno Park, where Runner 1 takes on the first 9.6 miles to Transition 1 at Aid Station 3. Runner 2 then covers the longest leg - approximately 11.7 miles - continuing along the course to Transition 2 at Aid Station 7 (mile 21.3). From there Runner 3 tackles the final 4.9 mile stretch - an uphill push back to the finish at Wanoga. This new format offers a dynamic way to share the challenge while still taking in the scenic, high-elevation terrain of the course.
