Thank you for your support of HELP of Beaufort.
Join Help of Beaufort for our annual FIRECRACKER 5K Race on the morning of July 4th in Downtown Beaufort. Starting at 8am on Saturday, July 4, 2026, on Bay & Newcastle Streets. Run through historic downtown Beaufort and across the famous Woods bridge following a certified 5K course.
Packet pickup will be available at Grounded Running located at 2139 Boundary Street, Ste 108, Beaufort, SC 29902 on Friday, July 3rd from 10am until 4pm. T-shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after June 1, 2025.
Please note that we have added the ability to register as a Virtual Participant. Virtual participants can receive a t-shirt for an additional $15.00 and have their shirt mailed to them. We will make a best effort to mail shirts prior to the event for those requesting this.
July 4th -Same day entries will be accepted on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. ONLY.
Age categories: under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Prizes awarded to overall top three male and female and top two male and female in age divisions. Awards are for in-person participants only and awards will begin PROMPTLY at 8:45am.
Event is pet and stroller friendly. Flexi-type leashes will not be allowed at the event. Please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lead.
Course: Start/finish line at Freedom Mall down Bay Street cross Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady's Island down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive and double back the same route to Freedom Mall.
Please note that registration for this event and shipping fees are NOT REFUNDABLE. If we are unable to host an in person/live race, we will transfer to a virtual format.
Where can I get my race shirt? All racers are eligible for the t-shirt giveaway & will receive their shirts at packet pick-up or on race day. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed if registration is after June 1.
