From the Organizer

May is National Bike Month and we're bringing back an old classic, in a new style.
Behold, the Canal Royale!

The Canal Royale is a 3.25 mile mountain bike race at the Augusta Canal Singletrack for anyone who wants to go all out and have some fun!
AND the crew has been working hard on the Canal Freeride Area for anyone who wants to session the jumps between the racing action!

Whether you’re a seasoned racer or you just want to give racing a try, this grassroots event is for you!  Come out for some good old fashioned MTB action with local MTBers!

This race is free, but donations are encouraged and can be made on this site or you can bring cash to the race.  Donations will go to the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area for maintenance/improvements on the Canal Singletrack.

If you remember the Canal Crown (RIP), you know what a good time this will be!
For old times sake, here's a link to photos from the last Canal Crown and from the very first Canal Crown race

If you're not into racing, bring a cowbell and come cheer everyone on and/or session the Canal Freeride Area!

Volunteers needed:
-One course sweeper to ride behind the last rider and pick up course tape as you go, plus verify all the racers have made it around the course safely (must be 18yo+).
