The Dog Days Cross Country Run is traditionally held the first Sunday in August. The race utilizes the Earl Scott Trail, named after the former AACC groundskeeper, AACC cross country coach, longtime Annapolis Striders member, and Dog Days Race Director.
This race is the fifth leg of the Annapolis Striders Championship series and is part of the Maryland/DC RRCA Grand Prix Series.

Directions: From MD Route 2 take College Parkway and use the second college entrance by the Barn. If traveling West on College Parkway take the first college entrance by the Barn. Park in Lot D which is first right.

Annapolis Strider Members: $10
Non-Annapolis Strider Members: $15
Note 1: If you have signed up for the 2026 Annapolis Striders Championship Series you do not have to register. To check that you have registered for the 2026 championship series log in to your Run Sign Up account and click on your picture in the upper right-hand corner or the generic one that Run Sign Up provides and select Profile. If you have paid for the 2026 series, you will see confirmation of that.
Note 2: If you are a member of the Annapolis Striders and want to be designated for the MD RRCA series for some other MD RRCA series club, register as an Annapolis Strider member, and then send an email to DogDays8k@annapolisstriders.org and we'll make the change.
