The Home Run 5k and 1M Fun Run will be held in beautiful Americus, Georgia. The route begins at Americus First Methodist Church and winds through historic homes in the neighborhood. Every dollar raised by this event directly benefits the Americus Campus of The Methodist Home. This race is being held in memory of a friend of the home, Jay Williams.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and snacks at the finish line, as supplies last. Finisher's medals will be available to all children under 14 (and as requested for adults as supplies last)
5k Age Group Categories:
0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
We will recognize the first, second and third overall male and female as well as first master's overall male and female. Overall winners will receive a cash prize and will be ineligible in the age group categories. All winners will receive a special piece of artwork created by our girls at the Methodist Home.
Packet Pickup will take place at the church (Americus First Methodist Church) on race day beginning at 6:30am and concluding at 7:45am.
