Mark your calendar and begin training for the Family Enrichment Center's 14th Annual MUD HAPPENS, ONE BAD MUD RUN PRESENTED BY HENKEL to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Funds from this event support child abuse prevention services in South Central Kentucky.
The MUD HAPPENS--ONE BAD MUD RUN is a 3 mile run featuring built obstacles and muddy areas where contestants slip, slide, and slosh their way to the finish. Sign up as an individual or grab a TEAM of 4 or more (and receive a discounted price!). The course is designed for ages 10 and up; children 10-12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a PAID adult participant. The Individual Competitive Heat is at 7:30 a.m. and will be limited to 50 runners (NO TEAMS). Regular heats will start at 7:45 AM and run every 15 minutes until 10 AM. Additional heats will be added if existing spots are full.
The Kids Mud Bath is FREE and consists of small obstacles and activities for children 9 and under only. Parents should not leave children unattended at the Kids Mud Bath and will need to sign a waiver before children will be permitted to participate.
Early Bird Registration!--Register by the 4th of July to receive a discounted price, be guaranteed a race t-shirt in your size.
Individual registration will be available on race day starting at 7 AM. Team or multi-person discounts do not apply on race day. Participants may register online or complete a hard-copy form on-site and bring exact cash/check.
PRE-RACE PACKET PICK-UP: Monday, August 24th- Thursday, August 27th 8:30 AM-4:30 PM, and Friday, August 28th 8:30 AM- 3 PM at the Family Enrichment Center located at 1133 Adams Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101. Please call ahead of time if you are picking up packets for a team at (270) 781-6714.
All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
