From the Organizer
Happy birthday to DC Road Runners! Come out and celebrate the Club's 65th birthday with our annual Hugh Jascourt 4Miler. Dress up in your festive running gear for your 4 mile race through the beautiful Belle Haven Park on the historic Mount Vernon Trail. After the race, we'll celebrate with birthday cake and party favors (i.e. our awards.)
Why is this race named after Hugh Jascourt? He founded the Club in 1961 and also played a role in starting RRCA, our parent organization. He did most of the legwork for setting up and directing races in the early years and created the Snowball and Bunion Derby Series as well as the Run for Your Life program.
In addition to overall winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd males and females), we will offer awards for the 1st female and 1st male in each 10-year age group.
This event is part of the DCRRC's Bunion Derby Series; for more information/rules, visit the race series rules page.
