The Heart of ABQ 6.6K is a Route 66–inspired community walk/run celebrating wellness, culture, and connection in the heart of Albuquerque. Whether you’re a runner or a casual walker, this event brings people together to move, celebrate, and honor the vibrant International District.
Hosted by Juneteenth Renaissance Institute and presented by New Mexico True, the Heart of ABQ 6.6K commemorates 100 Years of Central Avenue and the enduring spirit of Route 66. Starting at Manzano Mesa Park, participants will journey through the neighborhood to Villa Hispana at Expo New Mexico, where the Heart of ABQ Festival awaits. A free shuttle will return participants to the park after the event.
